Spirituality and Sexuality: Friends or Foes?

sarahrosemarshank-headshotHow is our sexuality akin to godliness and how might our spirituality be woven into our love-making? These questions and more will be discussed in this evening’s conversation with Sarah Marshank, local author of Being Selfish: My Journey from Escort to Monk to Grandmother.

Sarah will speak about her personal journey of self-discovery which includes exploring, experimenting, and studying a broad spectrum of sexual orientations and spiritual practices. She will discuss how having been a sex-worker and a celibate monk informs both her sexuality and her spirituality, and how she has found her way to an evolving authentic, embodied, and deep connection to sex and God. There will be plenty of time for audience shares and questions.
